We’re bringing that same intentional spirit to the mahjong table for an evening focused on learning, laughter, connection, and play.
Designed for beginners, advanced beginners, and those continuing to build confidence, this event offers a welcoming space to learn, practice, and enjoy mahjong in a relaxed and social setting.
Guests are invited to arrive at 6:30 PM to mingle, connect with fellow players, and settle in before gameplay begins. Mahjong instruction and play will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.

Mahj 101 Lesson/Guided Play tables for beginners and those building confidence and those needing hands-on support and strategy tips; full lesson provided

Mahjong instruction and play begin promptly at 7:00 PM
Light refreshments will be provided
**By registering, attendees acknowledge that they have selected the table option appropriate for their current mahjong skill level. Midnight Mahj reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify registrations or reassign seating if an attendee's experience level does not align with the selected table type and may impact gameplay or instruction for others.
**Kindly note that mahjong is ideally played in groups of four, and tables will be arranged accordingly. If you would like to request to sit with friends, please provide the names of attendees you wish to be seated near at checkout. Every effort will be made to accommodate these requests, but we cannot guarantee them. Part of the fun of Midnight Mahj is socializing and getting to know new people, and our open events are designed to create a welcoming, community-focused experience. Same ticket types purchased in quantities of 4 (a whole table) will be seated together unless otherwise requested.
**For Mahj 101 or Guided Play Lessons: Midnight Mahj reserves the right to arrange tables at its discretion. In the event that total tickets sold for Mahj 101 or Guided Play tables are not an even multiple of four, some guests may be seated two per playing position, rotated between hands, or placed at tables with fewer than four players in order to best accommodate attendance and create an enjoyable experience for all attendees. In these instances, the integrity, pacing, and quality of gameplay and instruction will remain a top priority and will not be compromised.
**Please note that Midnight Mahj is not responsible for attendee tardiness, early departures, or no-shows that may impact table counts or player arrangements during the event. To best accommodate attendance and maintain gameplay flow, Midnight Mahj reserves the right to rearrange tables or adjust seating assignments at any time throughout the event as needed.
